NFL Betting: Bills and Patriots Regular Season Win Totals

NFL Win Total Predictions

The Buffalo Bills come off of an NFL season that left players, fans and bettors felling empty, especially after a crushing season-ending loss . The Bills are the favorites to win the Super Bowl at 6-1 at most of the top online sportsbooks. Expert NFL betting analyst Jesse Schule, of JesseSchule.com, looks at the Bills total wins and joins me in providing some NFL betting advice and to break down the season win totals for these two teams. Check the video for free picks for both squads based on trends, facts and observations from many years of handicapping experience from both Jesse and I.

For the 2022 NFL season, New England has a win total of 8.5 wins at online sports betting giant FanDuel. This Patriots team is listed behind the Dolphins to even win the AFC North, with the Bills as enormous -235 favorites. They were a surprising 10-7 last season, making the playoffs, only to get smoked in the wild card round 47-17 by Buffalo.

The opponents for the Patriots had a combined win percentage last year of .514, good for 8th toughest in the NFL for 2022. With a turnover with the offensive staff and coordinator duties allegedly being split by former Patriots coaches Matt Patricia and Joe Judge, New England’s offense may struggle in 2022. They start off the season facing the Dolphins, Steelers, Ravens and Packers and may end up 1-3 out of the gate.

I’m not a big Mac Jones fan, despite his excellent rookie season. Statistically, he’s a middle-of-the-pack quarterback, finishing 13th in passing yards, 14th in TDs, 16th in adjusted QB rating (50.9) and threw 13 interceptions, starting all 17 games. I found him to struggle against tough defenses and if the Patriots have to play catchup, he’s not the guy.

Still, it is tough for players to bet against Bill Belichick and the juice is trending this pick towards the over. But, I see the Patriots having a difficult time on the road and being lucky to win more than 2 games away from Foxboro. I’ll be taking them to finish under the team total of 8.5 wins.

Check the video for Sean’s take on the Buffalo Bills’ season win total. It’s posted at 11.5 at sportsbooks around the world, with the juice on ‘over’ running as high as -150 at many outlets.
