GamblersWORLD Week 2 NFL Odds, Updates and Free Picks

Take a gander at our free picks for Week 2 in the NFL as we provide updates from the earlier Line Moves this week.

NFL – (251) New England (252) Miami -1.5 | Sunday, Sept. 14 – 1:00 p.m. ET | CBS

Read the previous article this week here.

New England did not look good in their home loss to Las Vegas. However, Miami was significantly worse. With that, Miami tumbled from an ordinary three-point home favorite to -1.5. Maybe history will work in Miami’Miami Dolphins free picks favor, since they are 7-1 and 8-0 ATS the last four years against the Patriots. Update: There was a great deal of talk about the Dolphins’ non-effort in the opening contest. Will that motivate them? We’ll say, but we are hardly comfortable about this pick, with the line not budging an inch. Also, as the week went forward, the total plummeted from 45.5 to 43. With these offenses and the Fins 9-1 UNDER after allowing 400 or more total yards in their previous game, we agree.

Bet Percentage: Previously Patriots 70%, now 52% 0 51% UNDER
Doug’s Pick – Lean Dolphins cover and Play UNDER

NFL – (253) Jacksonville at (254) Cincinnati -3.5 | Sunday, Sept. 14 – 1:00 p.m. ET | CBS

With Jacksonville handling Carolina with ease, NFL bettors sent Cincy packing off their sorry opening win at Cleveland as they slid from -6 to -3.5. Additionally, one cannot ignore that the Bengals are 2-11 SU in the first two weeks of the season the past several years. Update: Cincy continued to slide to -3. Yet, who’s convinced Jacksonville has turned a corner after whipping the Panthers? Sharps like the Jaguars at +6, but not now. Probably best to pass. Forced to make a choice, it’s Burrow over Lawrence.

Bet Percentage: Previously Bengals 67%, now 58%
Doug’s Pick – Lean Bengals

NFL – (255) Cleveland at (256) Baltimore -10.5 | Sunday, Sept. 14 – 1:00 p.m. ET | CBS

Who saw this coming before the season? Cleveland should have beaten Cincinnati last week. Baltimore Ravens free pickBaltimore should have won at Buffalo, blowing a 16-point lead after 56 minutes were played. Baltimore has fallen from a hefty 12.5-point favorite to -10.5. The Ravens are 15-4 SU at home vs. rival Cleveland, yet only 8-11 ATS. Update: After push back for blowing another game, enough Ravens bettors are willing to move on and have moved Baltimore back to -11.5. Though the Browns are tempting, the Ravens are 6-1 ATS (7-0 SU), dealing out double digits, with Cleveland 0-9 SU (1-8 ATS) as 10+ point underdogs.

Bet Percentage: Previously Ravens 73%, now 84%
Doug’s Pick – Ravens cover

NFL – (277) N.Y. Giants at (278) Dallas -6 | Sunday, Sept. 14 – 1:00 p.m. ET | FOX

With Dallas proving an unexpected battle at Philadelphia in the season-lifter, the Cowboys have risen from -3 to -6 against the Giants, who resembled 2024. In case you were wondering, there is no truth to the social media rumor that when Daboll announced Russell Wilson would be his quarterback for Week 2, the G-Men went from +4 to +6.  The Boys are on an 8-0 run (6-1-1 ATS) vs. their division rival. Update: Interestingly, some very public books have dumped Dallas to -5 and even -4.5, with the Cowboys a solid 17-10 ATS as home favorite. Hard to make a case that Russell Wilson becomes a difference-maker.

Bet Percentage: Previously Cowboys 93%, now 89%
Doug’s Pick – Cowboys cover

NFL – (277) Tampa Bay at (278) Houston  Total 42.5 | Monday, Sept. 15 – 7:00 p.m. ET | ABC

Both clubs had UNDER outcomes to begin the year, but it’s still surprising to see the total fall four points to 42.5. Quarterbacks Baker Mayfield and C.J. Stroud threw for below 160 net yards and faced a lot of in-the-face pass rushes. Stroud again looks uncomfortable behind a mediocre Houston offensive line, which would appear to be the major reason for such line movement. Update: The betting market is satisfied with the total, as it has not moved. The value has been sucked dry, yet the Texans are 6-0 UNDER at home when the total is between 42.5 and 49 points.

Bet Percentage: Previously UNDER 71%, now 68%
Doug’s Pick – Play UNDER
