The Mirage Poker Showdown poker tournament at Mirage Hotel Las Vegas is the second stop on the World Poker Tour. The Mirage Hotel Las Vegas is located on the Strip and is an elegant venue for this World Poker Tour tournament. The Mirage is a first class resort with well appointed rooms, a classy casino, and plenty of good restaurants and entertainment on the premises. The poker room is very comfortable and has 31 tables offering a good variety of poker games and daily poker tournaments.
The 2004 Mirage Poker Showdown Championship Tournament is a no limit Texas Hold'em poker tournament beginning on July 29, and going to August 1. The winner of this $10,000 buy-in ($200 entry fee) Championship Tournament will not only get the prize money for the tournament, but their buy-in paid ($25,000) to the World Poker Tour Championship at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas next April.
In addition to the Mirage Poker Showdown Championship Tournament, Mirage will host a no limit Texas Hold'em poker tournament on July 26, with a $1,000 buy-in ($60 entry fee), and another no limit Texas Hold'em tournament on July 27, with a $2,000 buy-in ($80 entry fee).
Players can also participate in satellite poker tournaments which will begin at the Mirage on July 19. On July 28, there will be a $1,000 buy-in ($60 entry fee) Super Satellite poker tournament which will award as many $10,000 seats as possible for the Mirage Poker Showdown Championship.
